What makes Tender Years really special is the staff. Parents consistently say, “The teachers are fabulous!” The teaching staff is composed of experienced, Early Childhood Education teaching professionals. Our teachers are devoted to giving children a great start to learning in a loving and nurturing way. With boundless energy, they instill a love of learning in the children.
Distinguished Awards
Meet our Staff:Gill Eyre, RECE
Gill is a Supervisor/Teacher of the Junior and Senior Kindergarten programs at Tender Years. She received her Early Childhood Education diploma from Sheridan College in 1991. She is currently Treasurer of the Association for Preschool Education and sits on the Board of Directors of O.P.P.C.E.O. (Organization for Parent Participation in Childcare and Education, Ontario). Gill has been teaching at Tender Years since 1988. Gill received the Prime Minister’s 2010- 2011 Certificate of Achievement Award in Early Childhood Education.
Siobhan Solecky, N.N.E.B., RECE
Siobhan is a Supervisor/Teacher of the Nursery School program. She received her Nursery Nurse Examination Board diploma in New South Wales in 1979 and her Early Childhood Equivalency Certificate from Sheridan College in 1994. Siobhan has been teaching at Tender Years since 1991.
Jane Shores, RECE
Jane is currently the School Administrator at Tender years, after spending 17 years as Teacher/Supervisor of the Nursery School program. She received her Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College in 1992. Jane has been working at Tender Years since 1986.
Sonia Ayoub, RECE
Sonia is a teacher in the Nursery School program at Tender Years. She received her Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College in 2006. Sonia has been teaching at Tender Years since 2006.
Melissa Muir, RECE
Melissa is a teacher in the kindergarten program. She received her Early Childhood Education Diploma from Sheridan College in 2008. Melissa joined the teaching team at Tender Years in September, 2011.
Sarah Clarke, B.A. Hons., P.G.C.E.Sarah is a teacher in the Nursery School program at Tender Years. She received her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Primary) in 1995 at the University of Lancaster. Sarah is enjoying her first year of teaching at Tender Years after teaching in England, the Caribbean, Italy and Canada. |
