For children 2 ½ to 4 years of age, Tender Years is committed to introducing education in a fun, stimulating and supportive way.

Our 8:1 student to teacher ratios provides each child with the individual attention that is ideally suited to their own needs.

Nursery School Schedule (2½ - 4 years of age) AM Classes: 9:00 - 11:15 PM Classes: 1:00 - 3:15   5 Days AM/PM Mon. - Fri. 3 Days AM/PM Mon., Wed., Fri. 2 Days AM/PM Tues., Thurs.

As such, our Nursery program offers the following:

• A well-planned, play-based curriculum that introduces various themes, (regularly changing) in order to stimulate children in all areas of their development.
   
• The opportunity for each child to get involved in daily group circles. Group teaching circles help to expand social, language, and listening skills, as well as build confidence in every child.
   
• Hands on learning centres help to stimulate cognitive development as well as increase gross and fine motor skills. Activities include:
   

  Music & story time A dramatic play centre Scientific experiments Water & sand play Art, painting & play dough Computer games

• A supportive environment where children will learn to play and share co-operatively with other children.
   
• Special visitors, such as firemen and policemen, are brought into the classroom to educate children on various community roles.
   
• Field trips to local farms allow the children to experience fall harvest and spring blossoms.
