Junior & Senior Kindergarten Mississauga

For children 4 to 6 years of age, Tender Years offers an expanded curriculum that goes beyond the standardized public / separate school kindergarten curriculum.

Our 10:1 student to teacher ratio ensures that your child receives the individual attention that is ideally suited to his / her needs. Core subjects (language arts, math & science) are taught in small groups.

Our play-based approach to learning is enhanced by themes (that regularly change) and are designed to promote interest, as well as allow children to gain a full grasp of the materials being taught.

Mississauga Kindergarten Language Arts

These skills are developed through a phonetic-based curriculum including small and large group discussions, co-operative games and activities, puppetry, dramatization, co-operative story and patterned books, word lists, computers games, story books and poetry.

We also use tools such as “Handwriting Without Tears” to enhance the learning process. Children for example will manipulate play dough into letters, or use wooden shapes to create letters.
